Summary/Abstract: Although the concept of bibliotherapy is quite recent in the Romanian literature, we aim to emphasize the role of this science, bibliotherapy, in the life of the community from the very beginning of the first printings in the Romanian language. Why such an approach? Due to the simple reason of the beneficial effect reading has brought on the entire community, the role of promoter through the book throughout history, has been studied rather superficially, being regarded as a contemporary concept. In other words, our study proposes that, starting with the religious literature adapted to the information flow of today, to fit the therapy through reading in the old times, namely to the period of the appearance of the first books.
