Summary/Abstract: A language of scrupulous linguistic strictness would call into question such an article title, only the activity related to the Targu Mures high school education only when it was formed, at least in its initial specialization formula within the three-year Pedagogical Institute Tîrgu Mureş, but this approach should be extended, taking into account at least two major aspects. First of all, we are in a year marking the centenary of the Great Union in 1918, and it is necessary to approach and understand the historical, political, economic, social implications and their implications on the education system in the Transylvanian area during the first half of the century XX. Secondly, we must understand that the immediate aftermath of the Great Union of 1918 marks its decisive influence on the training and professional development of Tudor Jarda, who will become the de facto founder of the higher music education in Tîrgu Mureş.
