Summary/Abstract: The objective of this analysis is to identify the poetic means by which in his poem ‘Psalm of the Poet’ Pencho Slaveykov transmits the faith of the poet in the eternal life of the soul. In the first part, we will focus on the opposition between the poet and people whose existence is too grounded in the earthly dimension and who are unable to perceive the spiritual dimension of being. This will lead us to reveal, in the second part, the deep feeling of peace and happiness that the idea of death brings to the poet. Finally, in the third and last part, we will see how these elements bring the poet to ascend.
