Summary/Abstract: Identity becomes an increasingly fluid concept in the 21st century. The need to accept the Self and the Other is the problem that haunts the writings of Arșavir Acterian, whose portrait can be depicted in his writings published in the twentieth century. The present paper aims to analyze the course of Arșavir Acterian's becoming, from the shattered intellectual being, belonging to the Generation '27, to the hidden intellectual of the communist period, when he assumes his Armenian identity.
