Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present some aspects of repetition strategies in the first two books of the Bible from the perspective of discourse analysis. This approach is based on the signification proposed by Patrick Charaudeau for discourse strategy as a possible choice in performing a speech act and it leads to two analysis levels concerning syntax-discourse on the one hand and emotional and representational intensity on the other hand.
