Summary/Abstract: The referendum for redefining the marriage in the Romanian Constitution from 2018 represented one of the context, in which the instrument of application of the Neo-Marxist doctrine, political correctness, was used. During the election campaign, elements of PC like double standard, tyranny of the majority, the normality of the homosexuality, oppression of the homosexual minority by the heterosexual majority, diverting the attention from the real meaning and framing it with different significance, were used in order to achieve the invalidity of the popular vote. Thus, less than 25% ofthe population with voting rights went to the polling station.
