Peculiarities of work of social worker in team treatment of patient

Summary/Abstract: This article is analyse of peculiarities of work of social worker in team treatment of patient. This article is a discusion about patient‘s psychosocial problems and adaptability to process adaptation of illness, which is effective if team of different specialists take part in it. The article describes possibilities of team work of social worker in helping to patient treatment: roles and functions of social worker in team work are exhibited, different models of social work with patients are presented: integral model of family, model of teaching how to behavior in different life situations and model of intermediation. Research of team work of social worker in patient treatment shows the position of social worker in team, describing peculiarities of work, and input of other team members in solving psychosocial problems of patient. Research and survey of team in helping for patient and survey of patients allows us to make the conclusions that role of social worker in team is positive, other team members and patients trust him, but they need more information about social worker’s work. Almost all time and attention of social worker is spared for consulting, information of patient, for intermediation, for work which is not a work of other team members. Survey shows that respondents would like a bigger number of social workers in health institutions for an individual help for all patients with psychosocial problems.
