Summary/Abstract: Several linguistic disciplines study the language in different way. Grammar, which consists of two branches - morphology and syntax, occupies a central place in the system of these disciplines. These fields study two different but closely related aspects of language structure. While morphology studies the groups of words in the language, their general grammatical meanings and categories , the subject of syntax is the combination of words in a sentence. Syntactic categories are closely related to morphological categories, and many syntactic categories are often based on their morphological features. Simple and complex sentences are different syntactic mechanisms and instruments for expressing opinion in the English language. It means, that each sentence is able to express one and the same semantic meaning with its specific syntactic structure. Based on the study of the non-finite verb syntactic function, as it was identified that non-finite verbs play an important role in formation of reduced sentence in English. In particular, the verb of dependent sentence is changed into a non-finite form and linked to the main sentence as a part of a sentence and it gives the possibility to form reduced sentences in English languages. The article discusses the reduction of a complex sentence with adverbial subordination by means of non-finite forms of the verb in the English language and the specifics of the adverbial subordinate clause during reduction.
