Evaluation of selected problems of healthcare in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents some health problems of population in Poland evaluated in years 2000-2009. The importance of health for the population and subjective assessment of health status and the level of satisfaction from health needs were presented through the prism of financial resources designed for purchase of medicines and use of health services. The analysis of data took into account the chosen socio-economic characteristics of households and respondents. The main source of information were data from the Social Diagnosis collected in years 2000-2009 and the statistical elaboration of Central Statistical Office.
