Summary/Abstract: During the period studied, as well as in the period after 1989, the Roma accessed the religious confessions of the population with whom they lived. One cannot see a categorical predominance of a certain confession that is directly related to the specificity of their ethnicity. The historical and social context of Transylvania played an important role in the choises that this ethnic group made. Depth of faith is a subject specific to the collective mind and cannot be objectively analyzed and measured.
