Summary/Abstract: Within six months, I have lost three friends closely connected to my profession of ethnomusicologist: in August 2021 Adelaida Reyes (b. 1930; I was so close to her, that after her death, several colleagues expressed their sympathy to me), in January 2022, Speranța (b. 1949), and in February 2022, Olga Fečová (b. 1942), who was not only my friend, but also my main gatekeeper to the Romani community.
