Summary/Abstract: This scientific paper aims to demonstrate in a comparative way the tyrannical father's hypostases and the paternal action's effects on the lives of the characters belonging to Kafka's works and Camelia Cavadia's novel - Măștile fricii. This interpretation follows the damned destinies of some children abused by a father who wears the mask of an executioner. The trauma coming from the Kafka's childhood have influenced his later works. He used to descend into the subconscious's darkness and be inspired. The act of creation is perceived as a diving into the world of shadows, archetypes and creative unconscious. Camelia Cavadia's novel reveals an inherited disease which is transmitted from a generation to another. Character's dramas give birth to a series of tyrants. There's a continuously dynamics between victim- executioner's relation.
