The digital drugs and the patient’s legal security

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present what digital drugs are, whether they can pose a threat to the security of personal data and – if – in what contexts these data may be legally used. A multi-layered legal analysis was carried out, including provisions regarding: personal data protection, electronic provision of services, privacy, provision of health services by a doctor and psychiatric hospitalization. The considerations are prospective because digital drugs have not been found on the European or Polish pharmaceutical market so far.
