Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of the XIX century the information about European writers and their recognized creations comes into cognition of Georgian people by books written in foreign languages or translated from foreign languages and later by means of press. The excellent example of this is mentioning outstandingEuropean poets’ names (Torquato Tasso, Shakespeare, Dante, Ovid, Camoens) in the early plays (“The Mad”, “The Dispute”) of Giorgi Eristavi (1811-1864), the playwrite, the founder of the Georgian theatre and the Journal “Tsiskari” and famous Georgian poet. Later, he creatively expands the goal and purpose of the poet, discussing his fate by reminiscences of the main character of the comedies and in the monologues of a young poet Beglar, which is presented as the first attempt of the poet to introduce a lyrical hero in playwriting in the episode (the seventh) of a famousePortugees Writer, the author of “The Lusiads”, Luis De Camoens (1524-1580).
