Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to highlight the mythical aspects encountered in the novel The Royal Hunt, written by D. R. Popescu. Starting from the theories and definitions offered by Mircea Eliade, Lévi-Strauss, Gilbert Durand, Victor Kernbach, Lalande, Sellier, we arrive at a textual analysis of the myth, by noting relevant examples extracted from the supporting text. We thus reach the conclusion that the author reiterates the myth of Hamlet, the myth of Iona and the myth of the Flood, in an original way.
