Summary/Abstract: Against the Dragons (Fehérlófia and His Friends) presented in 1992 by the Kerekasztal Színházi Nevelési Központ became part of the canon as the very first Hungarian TIE performance. It became a model for TIE and the trademark of the country’s first theater education company, moreover, the actors/drama instructors are the country’s leading professionals. My analysis does not focus on this privileged status, but looks for traces of genre diversity in the performance, which is considered to be a characteristic feature of theater education in Hungary. I am looking for the answer to how the event, which took place approximately two hundred times, became the turning point in the history of this discipline.
