Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses a damaged seal matrix found near the Horstmar Castle, the residence of the bishops of Münster in Westphalia. The matrix belonged to one of the archbishops of Gniezno, most probably Borzysław (1314-1317), who stayed in Avignon for a long time, and was his seal as archbishop-elect. The paper also presents (with reproductions) the so far unknown seals of archbishops.
