Summary/Abstract: The paper consists of two parts. The first part of the paper shows the state and principles of regulation of European stock market law and capital markets law, while the second gives overview of future development of European stock market law and capital markets law. The author especially emphasises questions like the changing nature of stock market and consequently its definition, the futures directions of development of EU capital markets law (e.g. prospectus, corporate governance, information, competition on the market, bank’s capital adequacy, payment and clearing systems).
