Summary/Abstract: The love of God, first manifested among the Persons of the Holy Trinity, has an absolute character. Man, a dichotomous being, composed of matter and soul, was endowed by the Creator with the ability to experience from divine love and to respond to this love. Starting from the premise that true communion can only be achieved through love, we can say that the correct understanding of it depends on our relationship today, both in the personal relationship with God and in the relationships with fellow citizens required by society. Without the right understanding of love and its source, which can only be God, man is in danger of transforming himself from a person capable of responding to divine love vertically and to loving others horizontally, in a simple individual marked by self-centeredness.
