Summary/Abstract: The article addresses one of the disciplines taught in the Romanian Language Preparatory Program for foreign citizens, a discipline focused on understanding of written and oral text. Starting from the hypothesis that beginner students cannot understand texts in the first days of courses, the study problematizes the didactic content for the first weeks of study. The second part of the article is dedicated to proposing appropriate content for a group of beginner students, respectively exercises for the first contacts of foreign students with Romanian language.
