Summary/Abstract: Transylvania, a multi-ethnic territory located at the eastern side of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, respecting the trends of the times, is also a place where numerous buildings were erected at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The stained glass produced at the time to cover the windows respect the stylistic variants imposed by the architecture of the edifice, the requirements of the beneficiary and its financial potential. The Roman Catholic Church owns the most varied and rich collection of stained glass windows in the studied territory. The entire stylistic range of expression in classicist ways, from the simplest to the most opulent, executed by workshops in the territory of the empire, can be found in the composition of these churches. The artistic balance is ensured by the presence of stained glass windows designed and executed in modern styles at the time, Art Nouveau and Secession.
