The disputes about the interpretation of "Amoris Laetitia" in the websites of catholic weekly days

Summary/Abstract: Objectives:The subject of the article is the way of presenting the dispute caused by the exhortation of Pope Francis "Amoris Laetitia" on the websites of Catholic weeklies. This exhortation concerns the issues of marital morality and family life, and its fragments (concerning the rules of giving communion to divorced persons) were written ambiguously. So bishops and theologians have developed different interpretations of these principles. Since many of them were mutually exclusive, a dispute over the rules of administering communion to divorced persons (which still exists today) flared up among the leaders of the Catholic Church.Material and methods:The analysis used the research method - content analysis. 402 Internet texts published in the years 2016-2018 on the websites of (the oldest Catholic weeklies in Poland): “Przewodnik Katolicki”, “Gość Niedzielny”, “Niedziela” were analyzed. The interpretative context of the research results was the developing in Poland of socio-cultural pluralism, secularization and changes in the moral awareness of PolesResults:One key conclusion is that the structure of the most common information on an exhortation conflict shows that it is a document of a "conflict nature". At the same time, authors of Internet texts want to convince readers that its traditional interpretation is correct.
