Summary/Abstract: The concept of the People’s Republic of China “One Belt, One Road” since its proclamation in 2013 has attracted increased attention from the international political and analytical community. Hundreds of works have been written on this issue. However, new ones are constantly appearing, prepared in different historical, political science and philosophical schools. Emerging works require reflection. This article is intended to make a feasible contribution to the solution of this issue. Its purpose is to identify and study the assessments by Chinese experts, published in 2019—2021, of the present and future of “One Belt, One Road” project, as well as its implementation in the Kyrgyz and Kazakh directions. The main research methods in their study are systemic, comparative and structural-functional. As a result of the work done, the author of the article came to the following conclusions. Chinese experts consider the “One Belt, One Road” project primarily as a socio-economic one aimed at improving the welfare of all countries involved in it. They study the issues related to the PRC initiative comprehensively and note not only the positive results achieved so far, but also the difficulties hindering its accelerated implementation. Among the reasons hindering the promotion of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative in the Kyrgyz and Kazakh directions, Chinese experts highlight political instability in Central Asian countries, persistent anti-Chinese sentiments in society and the coronavirus epidemic. At the same time, Chinese experts suggest ways to overcome difficulties and, in general, remain positive about the present and prospects of the “One Belt, One Road” project both on a global scale and at the regional level.
