Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to identify specific parameters (criteria) of artistry as a philosophical, aesthetic and art criticism category in the works of P. A. Florensky. The problem of artistry in the philosophy of art, aesthetics, art studies is one of the basic, key ones, since it concerns the very foundations of artistic creativity, art. In the context of the classical period of art development, the question of the essence of artistry was directly connected with the nomination of artistic criteria (properties that reflect the artistic value of the work). A paradigmatic approach to this problem is being formed, according to which artistry is an essential, mysterious property of art, constantly “escaping” from definition, but manifesting itself during the change of artistic paradigms. In this context, the interpretation of artistry in the works of representatives of the Russian intelligentsia of the late XIX - early XX century is valuable in the theoretical and art criticism aspect, in which the ontological status of artistry as a property of being, the prerequisites of vitality as such are analyzed. In the conclusion of the work, observations are formulated that reflect the specifics of Pavel Florensky’s interpretation of the principles underlying artistry. The signs and criteria of artistry as a philosophical, aesthetic and art criticism category in the works of the philosopher are revealed.
