Summary/Abstract: If until the emergence of the debate on the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP) (since 2009 CSDP - Common Security and Defence Policy), the European Union (EU) was perceived as an economic giant without the military force necessary to achieve its strategic security objectives, after 2003, through natural developments in the field, the international perception changed, particularly following the European Union’s assumption of command of stability and support operations under the aegis of the UN.
