Summary/Abstract: At first glance, the notion of a „finite but boundless surface” seems a strangeness, a paradox. In reality there are „finite but limitless surfaces”. The best example of a „finite but boundless surface” is the „surface of the Earth”. The surface of the Earth has a finite extent, but it has no boundary or edge.
