Summary/Abstract: In the current context, posting media content on the Internet is the main method of privacy invasion, the image being considered a visual footprint of all individuals. What happens when the data subject of these postings is a child? The concern to find legally funded answers to this question was the basis for this study. Is the current legal framework sufficient to ensure adequate protection for children or should the legislator intervene with additional protection to discourage practices that violate this fundamental right?
