Summary/Abstract: The article presents the life path of the journalist Jerzy Zieleński: his wartime experiences, post-war attitudes, relations with the communist political police, journalistic career and opposition activities. The article is a part of the historiographic debate on the evolution of attitudes of intelligentsia towards the communist system in the times of the Polish People’s Republic.
