Summary/Abstract: The article analyses modern tendencies of cultural and educational activity of Belarusian museums. The characteristics of museum audiences are described as well as the necessity of a specific approach is outlined. Traditional and innovative forms and methods of work with the audience are examined and the perspectives for development are determined.
