Evaluation of the potential of local development on the example of Szczecin and Police district

Summary/Abstract: The article compares two administrative areas – Szczecin and Police district because of their local development. Chapter I contains a short review of thematic literature and provides a basic definition and its aspects. Basing on it chapter II is a juxtaposition of a set of expenditures and sources of income in every commune. Empirical material has been taken from Central Statistical Office. There has been used comparative method and index of average dynamic growth during the last three years. The results of this analysis can be the first step for deeper interest how Szczecin-Police agglomeration functions.
