Summary/Abstract: Being part of the doctor-patient equation / formula, the metaphor is a veritable way to emphasise the existence of certain details related to the state of health or the symptoms of the disease, starting from its own characteristics. In this context, the appearance of the metaphor in the patient's story represents in some situations the „sine qua non” element capable of personalizing the communication between the doctor and the patient. Adding value to the anamnesis, the metaphor present in its own right or as a part of the patient's story, really certifies a new approach to reality, much more effective now between the two actors directly involved: the doctor and the patient vs the patient and the doctor.
