Summary/Abstract: Interrogation is one of the basic methods of criminalistic tactics, but it is also an important means of evidence. On the basis of the interrogation as an evidential means, information is obtained from a person who has perceived a criminally relevant event with his/her senses and this obtained information (the person's statement) may have the nature of evidence in the subsequent criminal proceedings. For this reason, among others, it is necessary that the interrogation be carried out as well as possible, because if certain mistakes are made during the interrogation, these can hardly be corrected later. Therefore, the preparation of the interrogation is important, where the interrogator focuses in particular on possible critical points during the interrogation. Our article will focus on the psychological preparation for the interrogation, which consists mainly in the internal preparation of the interrogator. We will also try to incorporate the knowledge gained during the activities within the police agency.
