NOSTALGY FROM LATIN POET OVIDIU

Summary/Abstract: Ovidiu lived during the classic literature time, in the most richest period of latin poetry. Relink was the cause of creation Sadness and Pontics, the talent and desire to write does not leave him in the most desolated period. Both literary works were written and addressed to the emperor with the purpose to forgive him, his wish has not been fulfilled. In the poet's vision, leaving the home places is the same with the final of life. It can be observed the elegiac tone of his writing, Ovidiu remained the first poet who presented in some literary works the Dobrogea places. Beside nostalgy, loneliness, longing for his native country, longing for loved ones, these are some of the themes found in Sadness. The uniqueness of this poet is based on three foundations, is the only Latin poet who lived, wrote and died on our lands.
