Summary/Abstract: The present paper follows the history of one of the most important man for Romanian literature and also for Romanian people —Vasile Alecsandri. It intends to keep reader’s attention on his new kind of poetry, named by himself pastel, a literary form by versification. It also refers to the importance of his role in the evolution of the Romanian literature, especially in what concerns the existence of ballads on our region.
