Effect of shoe wear on individual features in trasological traces

Summary/Abstract: In the article, the authors deal with the wear and tear of footwear and the factors affecting the appearance of signs that are important for individual footwear identification. The trasological trace contains a large amount of information, and its investigation is oriented not only to the determination of species identification according to pattern and size, but above all to the determination of individual identification according to individual signs that arose during production, use or repairs. The authors conducted an experiment in which they aimed to find out how high the level of probability is that individual characteristics would completely disappear or significantly change during active wearing of shoes for ten months.
