Summary/Abstract: The name of the Greek physician Galen (c. 129-200 A.D.) is the greatest after Hippocrates (c. 460-370 B.C.) in the History of Ancient Medicine, born at the cultural center of Pergamos in Asia Minor recognized the authority of Hippocrates, and incorporated much of his doctrines in his own. Like his master attached fundamental importance to “humoral” theory.
