Summary/Abstract: After the Feast of the Three Kings until Pure Wednesday, there is a time of carnival. Masquerades were mentioned in the town of Trogir in the 17th and 18th centuries. From this period there are records mentioning the Trogir family Garagnin. The rich tradition of trick-or-treating in Trogir existed especially in the first half of the 20th century. This is evidenced by the held dances in private houses and palaces. In the second half of the 20th century, masking continues, more creative ideas of mask making are awakened, and dance remains the center of attention. The paper presents a review of the customs of trick-or-treating in the city center of Trogir, Donji Kaštela, Seget Donji, Seget Vranjica, as well as trogir hinterage. On Carnival Tuesday in many parts, especially in trogir hinterland, did and baba played the main role. Trogir trick-or-treaters have tried for years to get closer to Kaštela, especially lower-atlantic. Trogirians, in the centuries-old tradition of trick-or-treaters, tried from generation to generation, to design as creative masks as possible, members of the Trogir carnival association Raspin Jute point out.
