Summary/Abstract: The conflict in Ukraine opposes two states, one of which – Russia – is the one to attack a neighboring state – Ukraine, which is in a position to defend itself. We highlighted some trends that manifest themselves from the perspective of the criminalization of the crime of aggression, starting from the historical evolution of the crime. We analised the legal international provisions on crime of aggression, the opinion of the International Military Tribunal from Nürnberg on the crime, and the actual perspective of investigation and judging of the crime committed against Ukraine.
