Summary/Abstract: In this article, we aim to open new research perspectives and new terminological categories for the study of the social, cultural and political dynamics in Belarus. Through the critical reading of new interdisciplinary methodological approaches carried out by international scholars for the study of the Belarusian context, we aim to frame the main research perspectives that have emerged in recent years to understand the process of the social and cultural transformation taking place in Belarus through a long-term perspective (1991-2021). Through the lens of broader cultural and postcolonial studies, the conceptualization of national identity, language and memory in the contemporary political and cultural debates will allow us to identify the plurality of voices and perspectives that have emerged during the history of independent Belarus.
