Summary/Abstract: The article describes a typical Silesian dinner on the basis of posts published in culinary blogs. It analyzes posts related to three dishes: roulade, Silesian dumplings and red cabbage; it also juxtaposes the bloggers’ recipes with those found in lexicons and other sources on Silesian culinary heritage. The adoption of a linguistic and cultural perspective made it possible to describe the Silesian dinner in axiological terms as a symbol of a “small homeland”, particularly valuable in today’s globalizing culture.
