Summary/Abstract: The article is a reconstruction of the entry EAT in the file of the Lexicon of Polish Mythology by Jan Karlowicz, found in 2017. A closer look at the information on the files, which has been grouped into 8 sub-entries (1. General approach; 2. A feast; 3. Fasting, no eat; 4. Magic food, inexhaustible; 5. Sweets [sugar, honey, honeycombs]; 6. Gluttony, drunkenness; 7. Hunger; 8. Assimilation. Anthropophagy. Child cannibalism). This is also evidenced by the juxtaposition of the entry EAT with the content of two ethnolinguistic dictionaries – Slavanskie drevnosti edited by Nikita I. Tolstoy and in Slavânskaâ mifologiâ edited by Svetlana M. Tolstaya.
