Gustaw Arnold Fibiger (1912-1989) on his 110th Birthday – A Handful of Memories of a Former Student

Summary/Abstract: 2022 was the 110th anniversary of the birth of Gustaw Arnold Fibiger (1912-1989; socalled III), the grandson of the founder of the Piano Factory ARNOLD FIBIGER in Kalisz (1878). It was also the last, closing and “stretched” due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Fibiger Family Year, adopted by the Kalisz City Council. It began in 2020, continued throughout the next, and ended in June 2022 with the premiere of a documentary film directed by Judyta Fibiger entitled A Soul Enchanted in the Piano (Krakow Film Festival; the premiere in Kalisz on June 9). These circumstances contributed to the creation of this text, which is a reminder of a very interesting and meritorious figure not only for Kalisz in terms of the author’s personal experiences and memories.
