Summary/Abstract: Based on the study of literature and of archival sources in the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, the article deals with the changes in the tactics of operation of the Slovenian Home Guard units carrying out combat operations against Partisan units independently or together with German units particularly in the second half of 1944 and at the beginning of 1945, which was a very large and noticeable change compared with their combat operations before that time. They replaced their previous operations from outposts and the organisation of large offensives with fast and powerful attacks on an open Partisan unit in order to destroy it or damage it as much as possible.
