Summary/Abstract: Presupposition is one of the concepts of modern linguistics and is especially in the field of pragmatics. Presupposition is defined as implicit and definite information shared between the speaker or the author and the addressee or reader about something that exists. During communication, the speaker organizes his discourse using the presupposition, while the listener interprets the discourse using the presupposition. There are presupposition triggers that pave the way for the formation of presupposition between communication parties. The aim of this research is to investigate the manifestations of the function and triggers of presupposition, which is one of the modern linguistic concepts, in the context of muqtada al-hal in classical Arabic language sources. In this study, discourse analyses made in classical Arabic sciences sources will be examined in order to reflect the meaning of presupposition. Starting from the first period of Arabic language studies, the way this subject takes place in discourse and meaning determination will be emphasized as a requirement of the context . As a result of the study, in the discourse analyses made in the early Arabic language sources, it has been determined that the muqtada al-hal has meanings depending on the presupposition, and therefore, it has been understood that the function of the presupposition is aware.
