Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of this study is to identify the SSCI-level works on the concepts of entrepreneurship and unemployment in the literature. Again, evaluating the number and effectiveness of publications from Turkey, identifying gaps in the literature, and making suggestions for new studies are among the research objectives. Design/methodology/approach – The method used in the research is the bibliometric analysis method. The data obtained by the query made within the scope of this study were downloaded from the WoS database in bibtex format and examined with biblimetrix, which is the R 4.2.2 package program add-on. Study data were taken from the Web of Science database. In order to collect the data, the words "unemployment" and "entrepreneurship" were searched and the results were examined. 1,645 studies were accessed through the Web of Science database. Among these studies, the data set was created by filtering the English articles published in the Social Sciences Citations Index (SSCI) between 2013 and 2022. After the filtering process, the study continued with 429 articles. Results – When the "entrepreneurial" and "unemployment"-themed studies were examined, it was seen that the number of studies was in 2021 with 74 works at the most, and the number of citations to the studies was 21,809. When Turkey-based studies are classified among the publications on the concepts, it is seen that there are 1 notification (Kum & Karacaoğlu, 2010), 2 master's thesis (Balkaya, 2017; Sezer Akgün, 2019), 1 article (Çetintaş et al., 2018). This situation can be accepted as an indication of the lack of interest shown in academic concepts. Discussion – It is seen that there is very little academic interest in the concepts in our country, and the few works that have been published are almost never cited. The fact that such a common subject in the international literature is not covered in our country and the indifference of researchers to these issues shows the importance of the study.
