Summary/Abstract: Traditional Turkish Arts have been produced with an ongoing commitment from the past to the present and it continues to affect especially today's contemporary arts. Many artists from different disciplines included traditional images in their works or were inspired by these arts. Many artists in Contemporary Turkish Painting create their works inspired by traditional Turkish arts. Calligraphy, miniature and illumination works are among the most used of these arts. The reinterpretation of calligraphic writing, miniature and ornamental effects in contemporary art is frequently encountered today. Inspirations in terms of both color and composition have found a place in many works of art produced today. In the example of Serhat Diker, whose works were examined and reflections from the traditional illumination art were encountered, so it was examined by giving place to his works of this type.
