Summary/Abstract: In the creation of Grigore Vieru (February 14, 1935 - January 18, 2009) the poet-harmony relationship is revealed by the symbols of the Orpheus myth, through the biblical meanings, by a reflection to see oneself in ontological circles, either in the mother's eyes, or the spring, or the sky -all these are the rigors of beauty. Grigore Vieru's poetry was studied from different perspectives. Our research aims to investigate the sources of the recognizable ancient myths in the Vierean creation and how their transformation is related to the time and space where Grigore Vieru lived and activated. In the work of the writer I noticed that two myths from classical literature predominate: Orpheus and that of the mirror, which is associated with the myth of Narcissus. In the interpretive context, the problem of self-knowledge is approached. The mythical aura appears in the Vierean text through the symbols taken from the myth of Orpheus, Geea, Narcissus. This existential unity has been overtaken by his poetic perception which preserves the imprints of his artistic creed.
