Summary/Abstract: The study’s main objective is to investigate the effect of COVID-19 on accounting education in universities. The COVID-19 epidemic has caused the worst disruption in educational history, with effects on students and teachers. Every aspect of society was impacted by this pandemic, including education. The study will draw on the scholarly writings of local and international researchers as well as data from articles in local and international media and other websites. This study aimed to shed light on some of the new problems that emerged as a result of the pandemic in relation to COVID-19, digitizing accounting education, and the impact on the future of digital education. The study was conducted using comparing, qualitative and quantitative methods. Assessment of the new education system and evolution of online learning is on focus. This study analyses how distance learning has changed throughout time, starting with letters and the usage of parcel posts before moving on to radio, television, and eventually online education.
