Summary/Abstract: The imposition of the state of emergency on some part of the territory of Poland was connected with the crisis on the border between Poland and Belarus. There were numerous groups of migrants who wished to trespass the border of the Schengen zone. The reaction of the authorities of the Republic of Poland was strong – there was the necessity to protect the border. In order to achieve the goal the decision to build the barrier on the border was made.
