Summary/Abstract: Considering degradation and sexuality in its quest of reviving the spectators need for representation, this paper challenges the possibilities of exploration of depression from the perspective of the deconstitution and transcendence of the limit in the trilogy Depression of Danish director Lars von Trier, the trilogy of movies Antichrist (2009), Melancholia (2011), Nymphomaniac Volume I (2013) and Nymphomaniac II (2014). If von Trier's films were the subject of gender-based demonstrations with reference to new post-humanistic theories, my stake is to focus on a demonstration that deals with concepts such as: play, guilt, limitation, body degradation.
